Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI) provides organizations with the essential elements for effective software application development and integration and guides process improvement. CMMI integrates organizational functions, sets process improvement priorities, provides guidance for quality processes, and provides a uniform standard for appraising current processes. KPS is currently appraised at CMMI Maturity Level 3.

A quality management system (QMS) is a system that documents processes, procedures, and responsibilities for achieving quality policies and objectives. A QMS helps coordinate and direct an organization’s activities to meet customer and regulatory requirements and improve its effectiveness and efficiency on a continuous basis.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies. This standard promotes the adoption of an integrated process approach to effectively deliver managed services to meet the business and customer requirements. In 2013, KPS successfully re-certified to the ISO 20000:2011 standard based on an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 framework and is regularly audited for compliance.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies. ISO/IEC 27001:2013 provides requirements for an information security management system (ISMS). An ISMS is a systematic approach to managing sensitive information so that it remains secure. It includes people, processes and IT systems by applying a risk management process. Since 2014, KPS has successfully certified to the ISO 27001 standard.
The IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a framework for IT Service Management. This framework spans five functional areas: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, and Continual Service Improvement. This allows for feedback throughout all areas of the service lifecycle. KPS has been ISO 20000 certified under an ITIL framework since 2010. In addition, all KPS employees are expected to be ITIL-certified within 90 days of hire.

Guided by an international panel of industry experts and practitioners, HDI is the leading resource for help desk/support center emerging trends and best practices. Many KPS Help Desk/Support Center personnel maintain HDI certifications, which improve support center efficiency at several Federal agencies.
